| The Parent Mentor will: |
| Act as a liaison/link between the
parents and the school. |
| Guide parents through the Special
Education Process. |
| Supply information on Special
Education programs offered in the area. |
| Link parents to educational
opportunities. |
| Help develop IEP's and attend team meetings at the request of the
parent. |
| Provide up-to-date information on Special Education issues. |
| Provide a Lending Library (books, videos, newsletters, magazines,
instructional materials, and items to use with children are available
to parents, students, educators, and staff). |
