Bus Safety Rules are posted in ALL Fostoria
Community School Buses.
"Do
NOT lose your bus privilege!"
Follow These Rules
1. Observe
classroom conduct.
2. Be
courteous, use no profane language.
3. Do not eat
or drink on the bus.
4. Keep the bus
clean.
5.
Co-operate with the driver.
6. Do not
smoke.
7. Do not
damage bus or equipment.
8. Stay in
your seat.
9. Keep
head, hands, and feet inside bus.
10. Do not
fight, push or shove.
11. Do not
tamper with bus equipment.
12. Do not bring pets
on the bus.
13. Do not
bring flammable material on the bus.
14. The bus
driver is authorized to assign seats.
15. Observe
quiet at ALL railroad crossings.

Discipline Procedure
Absolutely NO cell
phones are to be used on Fostoria Community School buses.
There will be NO
"Lost and Found" on Fostoria Community School buses. Item
left on the bus will be returned to the bus garage, students
will need to make arrangements with the driver about getting
things returned.
Only items or
packages that fit on the students' lap will be allowed on the
school bus.
Assigned seats are
MANDATORY on all Fostoria Community School buses, failure to use
the assigned seat could result in a bus suspension.

Procedure:
FHS & FMS
Students:
2 Verbal warnings from the bus driver,
recorded in daily log.
1st Write-up = 1 day bus suspension
2nd Write-up = 3 day bus suspension
3rd Write-up = 5 day bus suspension
4th Write-up = 10 day bus suspension
5th Write-up = Suspended for the rest
of the school year.
Elementary (K thru
5) Students:
3 Verbal warnings from the bus driver,
recorded in daily log. (Driver will speak with the
student, may talk to parents or move students' assigned
seat.)
1st Write-up = Call home and
conference with principal
2nd Write-up = Loss of recess 3 days.
3rd Write-up = 1 day bus suspension
4th Write-up = 3 day bus suspension
5th Write-up = 5 day bus suspension
6th Write-up = 10 day bus suspension
7th Write-up = Suspended for the rest
of the school year.
Emergency removal
from a bus by an Administrator will result in an automatic 3 day
bus suspension.
