Fostoria High School Marketing Education students competed in the District II DECA Competition on Tuesday, the 28 of January at BGSU. DECA, which is a co-curricular student organization, is an association of marketing education students. Students compete in a variety of different events including advertising, hospitality, finance, business administration and marketing. There were 11 schools represented and over 350 students competing. Students placing in the top four advance to the state DECA competition, which will be held in Columbus, March 13-14.

Restaurant & Food Service Management – 3rd Place – Autumn Weidner
Principles of Business Management & Administration – 1st Place – Erica Boabeng
Principles of Business Management & Administration – 3rd Place – Taylor Ray
Principles of Finance – 3rd Place – Belinda Burkett
Financial Consulting – 3rd Place – Jocelyn Bisson
Dominic Jackson and Christina Maurer also earned the right to attend State for their honorable mention performances. In addition, six additional students; Grace Cassidy, Kaitlyn Casiano, NyKeshia McDuffey, Breonna Decker, EJ Williams, and Jasmine Groves will also be attending State to present projects they have been working on. All of these students have worked very hard and are excited to represent Fostoria at the State DECA Competition.
