Congratulation to 8th-grader Addison Wright, who participated in the Jr. High State Track meet on May 13th. Addison placed 11th overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.99 and 16th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.99. Great job, Addison!

The future is bright for the FJSHS track team! Our Jr. High track athletes had a great showing at the NBC Championship! Here are the top results:
Travell Coleman placed 1st in the Boys' Long Jump and 2nd in 110 Meter Hurdles
Ezekiel Sensabaugh placed 1st in the Boys' Pole Vault
Addison Wright placed 2nd in the 100 Meter Dash and 3rd in the 200 Meter Dash
Our girls x100 relay team placed 1st. The team consisted of Amari Cousin, Ahzenet Hatter, Kannai Mcbeth-Mcmullen, and Addison Wright.
Our boys 4x800 relay team placed 2nd. The team consisted of Dameetrie Essex, Andrew Lira, Landan Sherman, and Royal Ferguson.
Our boys 4x100 relay team placed 2nd. The team consisted of Travell Coleman, Joshua McDonald, Reece Ramirez, and Julius Smith.

Last night was a special night as we had our last home high school basketball game and Senior Night for boys' basketball and cheerleading. All three teams won against Elmwood to make Senior Night a sweep! Congratulations Redmen!

On senior night Garyana Overton had an incredible defensive game. How good? She tied her own single-game record of blocks with 9. She broke her own record of single-season blocks by going over 45 for the season. She also passed Melissa Latham for the most blocks of all time. Congratulations Garyana!

Tonight's girls basketball game at Otsego will be a 2 quarter JV game starting at 5:30pm the Varsity game will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the JV game
