Calling all young artists! The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Holiday Card Contest is back! Kids 12 and under are invited to design Colonel Charles Jones' official holiday card, which will be shared in the OSHP’s Flying Wheel magazine and on social media. Here’s what’s needed: -Artwork on 8.5” x 11” paper. -Include OSHP’s therapy dog, K-9 Hope, and the message “May Your Holidays be Filled with Hope and Joy.” -Add the OSHP Flying Wheel symbol and “Service with a Purpose” banner. -Do NOT include the child’s name on the artwork. To submit, email a clear photo of the artwork to HolidayCard@dps.ohio.gov by November 15 at 8 a.m., with the child’s name, grade, school (city and county), and a parent’s contact info. Let’s celebrate creativity this holiday season!

Attention parents and guardians of Pre-K to 6th grade students, applications for A Christmas for Every Child were sent out today through Final Forms. You can print, fill out, and return these forms to the school office by Tuesday, November 19th. Remember, children must be in Pre-K through 6th grade and reside in the 44830 zip code or have a younger sibling who is school-aged. To qualify for the program, students must meet the criteria for a waiver of school fees and must live with the parent completing the application. You can list multiple children on one application, but only one application is allowed per family. If you need a printed copy, please let us know. Please check your email for the Final Forms message with more details.

Introducing RFS Behavioral Health: The RFS T.A.C.K.L.E. program, a collaboration between RFS Behavioral Health and Fostoria City Schools, supports student mental health and academic success by offering accessible, personalized care. This program provides on-site support at school, home, or in the community, giving students and families easy access to immediate help from mental health specialists. Each student receives a tailored care plan, including counseling, therapy, and substance abuse support as needed. T.A.C.K.L.E. works closely with school staff to address learning barriers, boost engagement, and offer continuous, year-round assistance. The program also emphasizes early intervention through regular assessments, helping to prevent small issues from growing. Overall, T.A.C.K.L.E. promotes well-being and resilience for both students and families.
