October is Bully Prevention Month and The FES counseling department is having a poster contest! Families are encouraged to help their students, but the poster must be the student's ideas/work. All posters are due Monday, Oct. 23rd. See the flyer below and an example that was turned in for more details!

Mr. Mike Schultz recently came in to talk to the preschool about fire safety. Mr. Schultz did a great job explaining to students what to do if there is a fire and got in all his gear to show students what a fireman looks like when they respond to a fire. He stressed the importance of seeing that they look different with all their gear on, but they are there to help!

Red Ribbon Week is next week. We are having a mini Spirit Week at FES and FJSHS if you would like to participate.

Get to know Ms. Hammer, first grade teacher at FES!

As the weather gets cooler, we have accumulated a lot of jackets/sweatshirts. Check out these pictures to see if your student has left something at school! If you see something that belongs to your student, contact their teacher to help get the item back. Thank you!

We hope everyone has a safe weekend. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Monday!

Learn more about our second-grade teacher, Ms. Miller!

Mrs. Curlis' preschool class did a science experiment to create and mix colors to produce monster volcanoes. They loved it!

Mrs. Davoli's class did fun activities with pumpkins last week!

A parents/players meeting will be held next Tuesday, 10/17, at 6:00 p.m. in the FJSHS cafeteria. This meeting is for the parents and players of any girl in grades 3rd - 6th who is interested in playing basketball this year and any parents who are interested in taking on a Coaching / Assistant Coaching Role in those grades.
Listen to Bryce. School + You = Success! We'll see you all tomorrow!

The track will be closed tomorrow.

Attendance Matters!

Attention FCS Families with bussers: Elementary buses are running behind today. With the construction on Lytle St., they are having difficulty getting through. Busses will be picking up students a little later than usual. We appreciate your understanding.
We are so proud of these five FES students! They received positive bus
conduct referrals. Thanks for being great leaders!

Mrs. Davoli's class enjoys starting the day by reading our library books to a friend after we practice reading to self first. It is so much fun to watch the students be proactive with reading at their desk, synergizing to help one another read, learn, and have fun!

Mrs. Davoli's class enjoyed showing the preschoolers in Mrs. Boiros and Mrs. Hasselbach's classrooms how to use classroom-made bubble wands the first week of September. This last week of September we delivered wands that were made for them, along with a bubble recipe and a small piece of bubble wrap to have fun popping. Thanks for letting us be "teachers" - we had so much fun!

A huge "Thank you!" to all our FCS custodians! We appreciate all you do!
