NBC Leadership Conference

Six Fostoria student-athletes recently took part in the first-ever Northern Buckeye Conference (NBC) Sportsmanship and Leadership Conference, joining peers from across the league to focus on building stronger teams and a stronger conference community.

The athletes, selected by their coaches for their leadership and character, spent the day engaging in team-building activities both within their school group and alongside athletes from other NBC schools. The conference provided an opportunity for students to reflect on what is working well in the league and to share ideas for improvement.

At the conclusion of the event, each school chose one representative to present their group’s pros and cons of the league to all attendees. This allowed students to have a direct voice in shaping the future of the NBC, while also reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, respect, and leadership.

The Fostoria athletes were accompanied by two of their coaches, who supported and encouraged them throughout the day’s activities. The conference was a positive step toward uniting student-athletes across the NBC with the shared goal of creating a better experience for all.
