The FHS Swim Team wrapped up a strong season marked by improvement, discipline, and teamwork.
According to Coach Beeson, the team showed heart and support for one another and consistently focused on achieving personal bests at each meet. In 12 meets this season, swimmers earned 116 personal bests and scored over 1,000 team points.
Coach Weidner emphasized the team’s work ethic. “The kids worked extremely hard to get better each day,” he said. “No matter their skill level, everyone was welcomed and supported.” Both coaches noted that leadership was shared across the team, with swimmers stepping up in different ways throughout the season.
Looking ahead, the coaches hope to build on this year’s progress and continue recruiting new swimmers. As returning athletes gain experience, the focus will remain on continued improvement and dropping times.
