Some of our juniors recently took a field trip to explore the AIM Manufacturing Program offered through Vanguard Sentinel
at the Fostoria Learning Center. Students had the opportunity to have hands-on learning in areas like basic safety, employability, welding, and machine trade skills.

A highlight of the trip was seeing our current seniors lead and teach the activities, giving juniors a firsthand look at the program and future opportunities!

Good morning, due to weather conditions, Fostoria City Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay today, Tuesday, March 17th. Thank you.
5 months ago, Courtney Fleming
Each year, Fostoria City Schools builds extra hours into our calendar in case we need to cancel school due to weather. This helps us stay on track without adding days to the end of the school year.

After this winter’s weather days, here is what we have remaining:

Seniors: 14.46 hours (a little over 2 school days)
FJSHS: 20.79 hours (a little over 3 school days)
FES: 58 hours (about 9 school days)

And as we all know, spring weather in Ohio can be unpredictable, so we will continue to monitor our remaining hours and keep families informed if anything changes.

Students in Mrs. Theis' class have been exploring claims and evidence through hands-on learning centers!
Students investigated topics such as rocks, spiders, bees, germs, garbage, and math, while staff and administrators stepped in as “experts” to share their knowledge. At the end of the activity, students will use what they learned to write an argument together as a class.

It was a fun way to bring learning to life while connecting students with staff across the building!
