Mrs. Masterson, the Library/Media Specialist at FJSHS recently hosted a "Blind Date with a Book" activity. Books were wrapped and included an excerpt from the text on the front. Classes discussed genres and how to select a book. Then, the students played musical chairs and would choose a book. This activity was designed to get students to select a book based on the text versus the book cover.
Why Attendance Matters -
There’s a very strong correlation between good attendance and success in school. On the other hand, students who regularly miss school are also more likely to struggle in school.
Yesterday, our students were able to enjoy an Air Force Band Tribute Concert coordinated by Mr. Kauffman.
Students in Miss Eaches' art class are getting ready for fall by applying the elements of art they learned to create Fall Zentangles!
Reminder to turn applications in by the end of the day Friday to be entered for a chance to win!
