Thank you to all who donated items to the Fostoria Elementary Academy 's Seneca County Humane Society Drive. Students and teachers were able to drop off donations and get cuddles from some of the animals!
We miss our students when they aren't at school! Please keep this in mind.
Ms. Laughlin Mrs. Thatcher's 3rd grade classes just finished a voting unit. They went through the full voting process (registering to vote, researching their candidates, debating the candidates, making campaign posters, etc.) and yesterday they went to their voting "booths" to vote.
As we approach the upcoming winter break, we want to ensure that our students and families have access to local resources that may be helpful during this time, and all year.

Mrs. Buckingham's 3rd grade classes are learning about holidays around the world. Yesterday they learned about Christmas in Australia and made Kangaroo puppets.

Mrs. Davoli’s class enjoyed seeing some fun Christmas socks and celebrating November attendance (5 with 100% and 9 with only missing 1 day)! They are tallying 100% days to earn a reward-they got this:)

Mrs. Donat, Ms. Albanese, Mrs. Burns all did an attendance challenge with their classes before Thanksgiving break. Mrs. Donat's class won so they are pictured below! They earned a certificate and a candy prize.

The temperature has dropped quite rapidly! If you're looking for a winter coat, make sure to visit First Step today or tomorrow. Additionally, there will be a coat distribution event at the YMCA in Findlay this weekend.
Due to icy roads, Fostoria City Schools is on a two-hour delay today, December 5th.

Second graders in Smith’s class did an experiment dissolving candy corn in different liquids. We learned about the scientific method and what happened to the candy in each liquid.
On Friday, Ms. Mallonn along with her students and Mr. Geiger's students did a Sedimentary Rocks Experiment in class!
One of our 4th grade classes celebrated having at least 90% attendance every school day in November!! Awesome job putting first things first!! They had a pizza/lunch party in celebration!
