Just a reminder,
All kindergarten children are required by law to have 5 DTAP, 4 Polio, 2 MMR, 3 Hep B, and 2 Varicella vaccines before starting kindergarten.
As a convenience for our families, we have the Seneca County Health Department available during Kindergarten Screening (May 5th) to administer immunizations. Please call 419-447-3691 to schedule your appointment. NO WALK-INS will be accepted.
You can also take your child to their healthcare provider or the Health Department. Seneca County Health Department’s number is 419-447-3691.
Your child will need to be vaccinated by the first day of Kindergarten, or they will be excluded after the 15th day. Please call if you have any questions.

Mrs. Reed's 6th-grade students just completed an Apple Mummification Project. This project is done at the beginning of their Ancient Egypt Unit. Students get to pick from a variety of things/ingredients to try to mummify their apple the best. After they "mummify" the apple, they wait seven days- the apple that is "mummified" the best wins. This year's winners are Jacobi Slater, Dalton Dibble, and Brianna Smith.
Fostoria Elementary celebrated March's “Reading with Frequency” award winners with Extra Recess! These students were awarded for listening to reading at least 12 days for 20 minutes each day using the program Learning Ally.

Mrs. Downing’s 1st-grade class hatched chicks in their classroom! They learned all about the life cycle of a chicken and kept a journal of what was happening inside of the eggs each day. They now have 6 chicks to take care of in their classroom before they head back to Mrs. Hasselbach’s farm!
Ms. Morgart's class synergized to make items for the classroom to celebrate Spring!
The Health Partners of Western Ohio are at FES today with their mobile dental office. 122 students are signed up to be seen today by their dentist. The mobile dental office will return to FES for treatments after the examinations are complete.
The FES Student Lighthouse Team organized a dodgeball game for grades 1-6 and staff on Thursday before break. Participants paid $2 to play and the money rised will be donted to the Fostoria splash pad project.
Ms. Rutter and her students made slime Wednesday as a culminating activity. They read a story about making slime while reviewing for the OST. To reward the kids for working hard on the test, and applying what test taking strategies she taught them, they made slime!
we had a fun week before Spring Break! Here Mrs. Boiros and Mrs. Hasselbach's classes along with " Grandma" did a S.T.E.M Project with stacking Easter eggs.
The 15th annual Box City will be taking place on April 21st. This is a great event for our students and we would love to get our community more involved. Please see the flyer below for more information on how you can make an impact.
Ms.Langstaff’s math classes have been competing all March in a math competition to help build skills for the upcoming math OST! Today the competition came to and end with our winners being from Ms. Laughlin’s class: Levi Myers (1st place) and Elijah Allen (2nd place) and Ms Langstaff’s class: Kiana Harrison (1st place) and Victoria Brookman (2nd place). We are so proud of all our great mathematicians!
