Academy Students Shine in Welding and Manufacturing Program

Academy Director Erika Hossler visited FCS Academy students at the Fostoria Learning Center. Several of the Academy students are enrolled in the Manufacturing and Welding program. The visit highlighted the students’ enthusiasm and excitement for learning hands-on skills in a real-world setting.

During the visit, students eagerly showcased their progress, including a demonstration with instructor Mr. Thompson, where sparks flew as metal was shaped and refined. Images captured the moment—students gathered around their instructor for guidance, and one student carefully grinding metal, fully immersed in the craft.

It was clear that student leaders are already emerging, stepping forward with confidence and supporting their peers in the shop. Mrs. Hossler shared her pride in the students’ engagement and expressed her excitement for the piece they are currently creating for her as part of the program.

This collaboration between the Academy and the Fostoria Learning Center provides students with valuable opportunities to explore career pathways while building skills that will last a lifetime.
