We had the opportunity to recognize some great people at Monday evening's Fostoria Board of Education meeting! Maintenance workers and bus drivers were recognized, along with the many volunteers in our district. We are so lucky to have all of you, and we appreciate your dedication to our students and community.

Just a reminder that our last parent café is happening tonight, Tuesday, April 29th, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in Legacy Hall.
We’ll have free childcare, snacks, and drinks available, plus some great resources for families to take home. We’re also excited to have some special guests from the Positive Education Program (P.E.P.) who will share tips on handling challenging behaviors in kids.
We can’t wait to see you all there.

Good afternoon. Our phones are back up and running. Thank you for your patience!

Friday, April 25, Mrs Reinhart's class took a field trip to Greenfield Stables in Tiffin. This happens to be FJSHS's paraprofessional, Gail Kingseed's horse farm! Students got to meet all the horses and learned about horse safety. They also learned how to lead horses and then saddled them, and everyone was able to ride! Even the staff got to enjoy the horses and participate!! It was a great experience for everyone, as many kids don't get this kind of hands-on opportunity!!

Good morning. At this time, the phone lines in all Fostoria City Schools buildings are down. The internet is still up and running, and email is the best way to get in touch with anyone. We will let you know when the issue is resolved. Thank you!

Good afternoon, just FYI, local police and sheriff's departments will be conducting K9 training on the school's exterior grounds today (Mon, 4/28) from 4-5:30. There is no need to be alarmed, as this is just training. Thank you!

National Superhero Day
April 28th
By Yazmoni Agapiou-Kincade
National Superhero Day is annually celebrated on April 28th to commemorate both real and fictional characters. The true meaning behind superheroes is to provide a model on how to cope with diversity, finding meaning in loss behind trauma, and reminding the younger generation how important it is to discover their strengths and put them to use for a good purpose.
With great power comes great responsibility. Spiderman is the world’s most popular superhero. A regular boy, balancing an everyday life and a charming personality, all while managing to fulfill his superhero duties. Our younger generation can relate to this infamous character in many ways, such as self-doubt, responsibility, confidence, protecting their values, and standing up for themselves and those around them. From 1962 to the newest release expected in 2026, Spiderman has been leaving a legacy for our younger generation. In the early 1940s, superheroes became extremely popular as a form of entertainment. Decades later, still standing strong, leaving their mark.
