Averie and Gulmaro were selected and recognized as emerging leaders in
the state of Ohio by being selected for the Emerging Leaders
Conference at the International Conference for DECA. They were both 4
time state qualifiers, 3 time national qualifiers, and are in the Top 5 in
their respective class. This reflects great honor upon themselves and
the Fostoria City Schools District. This brings the total to 6 JSHS students heading to ATL for DECA Internationals!

This week is National School Social Work Week. Learn more about what School Social Workers do and how they support our students, staff, and families.

Mr. Miller took 10 students to the state DECA competition after an outstanding regional performance, where 12 of our 24 program participants earned top placements and 10 advanced to state.
At the state level, our students continued to excel, with 4 qualifying for the national competition. To put that into perspective, students must rank in approximately the top 4% out of more than 300,000 DECA members worldwide to earn a spot at nationals — an incredible accomplishment.
Our students truly represented the Redmen Way at the highest level, bringing distinction to themselves and to our district. We are proud of their hard work and dedication and look forward to continued success at the national level. ❤️🖤

So proud of our incredible school psychologists, Lisa Markley and Brette Hartman representing Fostoria at the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)Conference!!!
Professional growth doesn’t just happen within our district walls, it happens when educators step into larger conversations, learn from experts across the country, and contribute their own expertise to the field!!
Lisa even presented her research poster-an incredible feat, that focused on gaining a deeper understanding of teacher attitudes and perceptions of mental health disorders. This work is so important as we continue strengthening how we support students and staff through a proactive, informed mental health lens.
We are grateful for leaders like Lisa and Brette who continue learning, sharing, and elevating the profession, and ultimately, the students we serve!! ❤️🖤#FostoriaProud #SchoolPsychology #GrowingTogether

History is more than just pages in a textbook—it’s a journey we walk together. Mrs. Stultz’s African American Journey class from Fostoria Junior/Senior High traveled to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati to immerse themselves in the stories, struggles, and triumphs that shaped our nation. A powerful day of reflection for our students.

Important update: Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not have transportation available to Sentinel tomorrow (02/03/26). We appreciate your understanding.
It’s School Counselor’s Week!
We are grateful for our school counselors who support students every day—academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for being advocates, listeners, and guides for our students. Your impact goes far beyond the school day.
