Juniors took the ACT in February. Those students who earned a 20 or higher for their composite score received yard signs recognizing them as members of the 20+ Club! Their names were also put into a drawing for Cedar Point Gold Passes with Aeryx Sidney and Kylar Leisure winning.

Are you in a profession that requires a vehicle with wheels? We are searching for community partners to join us in our career exploration event. We understand that many of you have fascinating experiences to share with students, giving them the opportunity to explore your vehicle(s), discuss the tools of your trade, and talk about your business, career, and education. 'Careers On Wheels' presents an incredible chance for our students to have an up-close and personal look at various professions. The aim of this event is to inspire our students to consider their future possibilities and ignite an interest in careers they may not have previously considered. So, come on and showcase your vehicle - whether it's a tractor, plane, big rig, or anything in between - and share it with our students. The Fostoria Jr/Sr High Chapter of Drug Free Clubs of America is excited to announce that Jordan Ferguson is a Semi Finalist in the Drug Free Clubs of America Scholarship Contest. Jordan will be awarded a $25 Amazon gift card from DFCA. Congratulations to Jordan and thanks for being a member.

We are currently monitoring this afternoon's weather and wanted to let everyone know that if we are under a severe weather warning this afternoon at dismissal, the dismissal process may be stopped or slowed down for the safety of all. We will continue monitoring the weather and appreciate everyone's patience as we work to get students home safely.
A big thank you goes out to Coach Hall from the Driven Foundation for returning to our district and dedicating time to our Drug Free Clubs of America members today. Mr. Hall engaged with our DFCA members, chatting with them and signing autographs during a special member reward gathering. We truly appreciate his generosity. Special thanks to the HOPE Board for making this event possible. And of course, a huge thank you to our DFCA members for their participation in this important club.
A heartfelt "thank you" goes out to varsity basketball coach Thom Loomis as he steps down from his coaching position. Thank you, coach, for all you have done for our basketball program over the years. Coach Loomis has been the varsity coach for the last seven years and was the JV coach when he returned to Fostoria in 2016. He was the assistant basketball coach for Fostoria from 1983-1987 and again in 1996-1997. We appreciate you and your years of service and dedication to the basketball program and to Fostoria City Schools.
Mr. Loomis will continue as the Athletic Director for FCS.
